As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the development and delivery of our EV powertrain systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of complex projects, from concept through production, while maintaining high-quality standards and optimizing costs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automotive engineering, project management, and the EV powertrain development lifecycle, and be capable of driving results in a fast-paced startup environment.
Program Leadership: Manage multiple programs related to EV powertrain development, from design through to delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations. Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, define deliverables, set timelines, and allocate resources to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of all milestones. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and execution across all program phases. Risk Management: Identify program risks, define mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues that could impact timelines, quality, or budget. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clients, suppliers, and partners, to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the program lifecycle. Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to optimize processes and workflows across programs, contributing to efficiency, quality, and cost savings. Quality Control: Ensure all powertrain systems meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications. Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams, ensuring that all designs and prototypes meet performance, efficiency, and sustainability goals.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred). 5+ years of experience in program or project management in the automotive or electric vehicle industry, with a focus on powertrain systems or related technologies. Strong knowledge of EV powertrain components, including motors, inverters, battery systems, and drivetrains.
Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional projects from inception to delivery in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with senior leadership. Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello) and knowledge of Agile methodologies. Experience working in a startup or high-growth company is a plus.
